Hebrews Chapter 1

Hebrews Chapter 2

1.             So we will not slip away

2.             By the Lord and confirmed by those who heard him. God also bear witness by signs, wonders, miracles and gifts or the Holy Ghost

3.             That he by the grace of God might taste death for everyone

4.             Through suffering

5.             That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death (the devil) that he might be a high priest

6.             To make reconciliation for the sins of the people

7.             The suffering he endured when he was tempted

Hebrews Chapter 3

1.             He who builds the house has more honor than the house. He who built all things is God

2.             If we hold fast our confidence and hope until the end

3.             As Israelites in the wilderness

4.             Lest there be any with an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God

5.             Daily

6.             The beginning of our confidence stedfast until the end

7.             Those that sinned and died in the wilderness

8.             Because of unbelief

Hebrews Chapter 4

1.             Lest we fall short of the promise of entering into his rest

2.             Because it was not mixed with faith by the hearers

3.             Because of unbelief (disobedience NIV)

4.             The people of God

5.             Make every effort to enter that rest

6.             Dividing soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

7.             Jesus the Son of God

8.             He is touched with the feelings of our infirmities and was tempted in all points like we are, yet without sin

9.             Boldly to the throne of grace



Hebrews Chapter 5

1.             Because of his weaknesses and sins

2.             Called by God

3.             Melchizedek

4.             By the things which he suffered

5.             Eternal salvation

6.             Teachers

7.             For those unskillful (not acquainted) with the teaching of righteousness

8.             For the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil


Hebrews Chapter 6

1.             Repentance, faith, baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection, judgment

2.             Perfection (maturity)

3.             Those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God and the power of the world to come

4.             Herbs (crop) that are useful

5.             Burned

6.             Better things that accompany salvation

7.             Your work and labor of love

8.             Show diligence to the end, be not slothful, imitate those with faith and patience

9.             Lie

10.         Hope


Hebrews Chapter 7

1.             King of Salem, priest of the Most High God

2.             A tenth of everything

3.             The less is blessed of the greater and Melchizedek blessed Abraham

4.             He was in the loins of Abraham when Abraham paid tithes

5.             The Levitical priesthood did not bring perfection and Jesus was from the tribe of Judah

6.             After the power of an endless life

7.             Because it was weak and useless and made nothing perfect

8.             A better hope by which we draw near to God

9.             The guarantee of a better covenant

10.         Because Jesus lives forever (the Levitical priests died)

11.         To save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him

12.         He did not have to offer up sacrifices because he never sinned. He sacrificed himself once for all


Hebrews Chapter 8

1.             Set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens

2.             The priest that offered gifts according to the law

3.             He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises

4.             A second (or new) covenant

5.             In the minds and hearts

6.             Their sins and their iniquities

7.             Obsolete

Hebrews Chapter 9

1.             In the Holy Place were the candlestick, the table of showbread. In the Holiest of all was the ark of the covenant which contained manna, Aaron’s rod, and the stone tablets of the covenant, and the mercy seat

Hebrews Chapter 11

1.             Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

2.             That the worlds were framed by the word of God, things which are seen were not made of things which do appear

3.             Offer a more excellent sacrifice than Cain

4.             That he pleased God

5.             To please God

6.             Them that diligently seek Him

7.             Prepare an ark

8.             Obeyed, went out, made his home in the promised land

9.             Received strength to conceive a child

10.         The promise

11.         Isaac

12.         Gave instructions regarding his bones

13.         Refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, forsook Egypt, kept the Passover, passed through the Red Sea

14.         Received the spies with peace

15.         Conquered kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the alien armies, torture, cruel mockings, scourgings, imprisonment, stonings, sawn in two, slain with the sword, destitute, torment

Hebrews Chapter 12

1.             Everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles

2.             The author and finisher

3.             Unto blood

4.             His sons, the ones He loves

5.             That we may share in His holiness and we might produce righteousness

6.             Peace with all men

7.             Holiness

8.             Root of bitterness

9.             A place of repentance

10.         Mount Sinai—fire, blackness, tempest, sound of trumpet, terror ,Mt. Zion—living God, angels, church, spirits of just men and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant

11.         Him who speaks

12.         A kingdom which cannot be moved

13.         A consuming fire


Hebrews Chapter 13

1.             Brotherly love

2.             We may be entertaining angels without knowing it

3.             Marriage

4.             Them which have the rule over you, who have spoken the word of God

5.             Yesterday, today, and forever

6.             Divers and strange doctrines

7.             The sacrifice of praise to God, the fruit of our lips

8.             To do good and to communicate (share with others)

9.             That he might be restored

10.         Equip them with everything good for doing His will
