I Timothy Chapter 1

1.             That they teach no other doctrine and not give heed to fables and endless genealogies

2.             Charity out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and sincere faith

I Timothy Chapter 2

1.             Top priority. Paul says, “First of all.”

2.             Supplication—requests, prayers, intercession, giving of thanks

3.             For all men, for kings and all those in authority

4.             That we may live a quiet and peaceable life and that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth

5.             Jesus gave himself a ransom for all

6.             Everywhere

7.             Lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting and sobriety

8.             In modest apparel with shamefacedness and sobriety not with braided hair or gold, or pearls or costly array

9.             In quietness and full submission

10.         Adam was first formed, then Eve, Adam was not deceived but the woman being deceived was in transgression

11.         Saved in childbearing

 

I Timothy Chapter 3

1.             He desires a good work (noble task)

2.             Blameless, husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, or good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre, patient, not a brawler, not covetous, one who rules his house well, having his children in subjection, not a novice, have  good report of them which are without

3.             Three, but this depends on the definition of moral

4.             Grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre, proven, blameless, husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their houses well

5.             He said that he was hoping to come to Timothy shortly

6.             That Timothy would know how to conduct himself in the house of God

7.             The pillar and the ground of truth

8.             Manifest, justified, seen, preached, believed, received

 

I Timothy Chapter 4

1.             Some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits

2.             Seared as with a hot iron

3.             Forbid to marry and abstain from certain foods

4.             Words of faith and of good doctrine

5.             Profane and old wives’ fables

6.             It profits a little but godliness is profitable unto all things

7.             In words, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity

8.             Reading, exhortation and doctrine (NIV—public reading of scriptures, preaching and teaching)

9.             The gift that was in him

10.         Unto himself and unto doctrine because if he did he would save himself and his hearers

 

I Timothy Chapter 5

1.             As a father

2.             As mothers

3.             As sisters with all purity

4.             Children, nephews, grandchildren, or other family members

5.             One that is desolate, trusts in God, continues in prayer, 60+ years old, well reported of for good works, lodged strangers, washed saints feet

6.             Younger widows who might become tattlers and busybodies

7.             Counted worthy of double honor

8.             That it be brought by two or three witnesses

9.             Rebuke before all that others may fear

10.         Without favoritism

11.         Do not lay hands on anyone hastily

12.         Because of his stomach and frequent illnesses

13.         Sins and good deeds

 

I Timothy Chapter 6

1.             Servants are to consider masters worthy of respect and serve them especially if they are brethren

2.             Proud, knowing nothing, destitute of truth, supposing that gain is godliness

3.             Godliness with contentment

4.             Food and clothing

5.             Temptation, traps, foolish and hurtful lusts

6.             The love of money

7.             Flee the love of money,  pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness

8.             A good fight, taking hold of eternal life

9.             Blessed, only potentate (Ruler), King of kings, Lord of lords, who alone is immortal

10.         That they be not high minded, That they trust not in uncertain riches but in the living God, That they do good, That they be rich in good works, willing to communicate, That they may hold on eternal life

11.         Profane and vain babbling and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith

II Timothy Chapter 1

1.             Without ceasing night and day

2.             They had unfeigned faith

3.             By Paul laying his hands on him

4.             Of power and of love, and of a sound mind

5.             He uses terms like prisoner, suffer, chains, bonds, ready to be offered

6.             According to His purpose, appointed to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher

7.             Whom he believed, that God is able to keep that which they committed unto Him

4.             The affairs of this life (civilian affairs)

5.             The one who chose him to be a soldier

6.             The husbandman that laboreth (hard working farmer)

7.             The word of God

8.             If we be dead with him, we shall also live with him, if we suffer, we shall also reign with him, if we deny him, he will also deny us, if we believe not—yet he abideth faithful

9.             Study so you can rightly divide the word of  truth

10.         Profane and vain babblings, foolish and unlearned questions which gender strife

11.         Hymenaeus and Philetus

12.         Depart from iniquity

13.         Youthful lusts

14.         Righteousness, faith, charity and peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart

15.         Must not strive, be gentle to all men, able to teach, patient, in meekness instruct those that oppose themselves

 

II Timothy Chapter 3

1.             Perilous times will come

2.             Lovers of own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying the power, capturers of silly women

3.             Jannes and Jambres

4.             Paul’s doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience

5.             Persecution

6.             They shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived

7.             From childhood

8.             Inspiration of God

9.             For doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work

 

II Timothy Chapter 4

1.             Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine

3.             That of an evangelist

4.             He fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith

5.             A crown of righteousness

6.             He loved this present world

7.             Luke

8.             Mark

9.             His cloak and books, especially the parchments

10.         Alexander the coppersmith

11.         The Lord

12.         Priscilla, Aquila and household of Onesiphorus

13.         Trophimus

14.         Before winter
